Lego League Team
The New Branches Lego Team is made up of 5th and 6th grade students. The team is led by Mrs. Bobbijo Zoerhof and assisted by other adult volunteers. New Branches 2008-2009 Lego Team placed 1st in the Quality Research category and the Michigan State First Lego League Competition.
We are also proud to note that our Lego Club Leader, 6th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Bobbijo Zoerhof was awarded as an outstanding adult mentor at the tournament.
FIRST LEGO League (FLL) is an exciting and fun global robotics program that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science, and technology in kids ages 9 to 14.
Each year FLL teams embark on an adventurous Challenge based on current, real-world issues. Guided by a team coach and assisted by mentors. the kids:
1) Research and solve a real-world problem based on the Challenge theme, 2) Present their research and solutions, and 3) Build an autonomous robot using engineering concepts.
