Green School Award

We are proud to announce that New Branches School will receive a Green School Certificate award from the Kent Intermediate School Districts Green Schools Award Program. The Green Schools award program originated with legislators who wanted to encourage teachers and administrators to do more with energy savings and environmental awareness. Thank you to Mrs. Sharon Brandner for heading up our participation in the program!

SCHOOLS THAT CAN Merit of Recognition

Schools That Can (STC) is a national non-profit organization that has a vision of an entire educational network of schools that CAN prepare all students to succeed in high school,college, and beyond. It seeks to achieve that vision through its mission of supporting strong school leadership so high-performing inner city schools thrive to impact even more underserved students.

New Branches Public School Academy was awarded membership in SCHOOLS THAT CAN in April of 2008. Membership was based on the successful completion of SCHOOLS THAT CAN validation requirements, confirming that New Branches School has consistently achieved a high level of academic performance, has strong leadership and a track record for success among its students.
